Rituals in Outer Space, for Viola and Zuspiel

In the work »Rituals in Outer Space«, the focus was equally on the examination of the specific sound spectrum of the viola as well as the search for atypical, unusual, and yet organic gestures and sound variations: Specific forms of movement (falling, rising, faltering, gliding) and affects, Ghanaian rhythms and Arabic maquam, tonal and microtonal, the sounds of the viola and the sound of a historical electronic instrument, ... - The familiar and the (supposedly) foreign meet, change mutually, approach each other, merge or remain foreign to each other.
