José Luis Turina is a Spanish composer, former professor at the conservatories in Cuenca and Madrid, and grandson of composer Joaquín Turina. From 2004 -2015 he also served as president of the Spanish Association of Youth Orchestras. His compositional oeuvre includes several works for stage, orchestra, choir and chamber music.
